Clemson Women’s Golf Looks to Defend ACC Championship Crown in Wilmington

Clemson, S.C. – The Clemson women’s golf team opens their 2024 ACC Championship campaign on Thursday, April 18, at the 6,142-yard, par-72 Porter’s Neck Golf Club in Wilmington, N.C. The Tigers look to defend their 2023 title, the first in program history.

The Tigers enter the weekend ranked No. 21 nationally and are the No. 4 seed in the ACC. Clemson is paired with No. 5 Virginia and No. 6 North Carolina Thursday morning, and will tee off of hole #1 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The teams will play 18 holes of stroke play on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to determine the top four seeds that will advance to match play, as well as the individual ACC Champion. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to Sunday morning’s match-play semifinals, then the winner of the two matches will advance to Sunday afternoon’s championship.

Last season, Clemson defeated Duke in the semifinals, then Virginia in the finals to claim the 2023 ACC Championship.

Clemson is led by Chloe Holder in the No. 1 spot this weekend, followed by 2024 ANWA participant Annabelle Pancake. Isabella Rawl, Melena Barrientos and Sydney Roberts round out the lineup, with Katherine Schuster in attendance as an alternate.

Sunday’s two match-play rounds will be shown live on ACCNX, with the full two-hour special running on ACC Network on May 6 at 8pm eastern.
