Clemson vs Florida State: By the Numbers

 

Coming off a second straight loss against #16 Louisville, Clemson is back at home in a 9:00 p.m. matchup with Florida State. On this road trip, the Tigers came up short by one point both games.

 

Clemson last played the Seminoles back in January and lost 77-68. Since playing the Seminoles last, the Tigers have gone on a 4-2 run. The Seminoles however, have gone on a 7-0 run.

 

When Clemson played in Tallahassee, the Tigers shot 44.8%, shot at 29.4% for 3-pointers, had 11 turnovers and 33 rebounds. This is in comparison to the Seminoles who shot at 45.5%, 45.5% for 3-pointers, 8 turnovers and 31 rebounds. Aamir Simms led the Tigers with 18 points that game and Mfiondu Kabengele led the Seminoles with 17 points, Kabengele scored 12 of those 17 points in the 2nd half. Elijah Thomas came out of that game with 11 rebounds and 5 assists.

 

Coming into this matchup, the Seminoles are averaging 77.2 points per game, 37.3 rebounds, 13.5 assists per game and are allowing their opponents to score on average 67.6 points a game. This is compared to Clemson, who averages 69.6 points per game, 35.3 rebounds, 12.0 assist and allow their opponents to score on average, 63.8 points.

 

 

 

Offensively, the Seminoles are led by Mfiondu Kabengele in points, Kabengele averages 13.2 points a game. Trent Forrest leads the Seminoles in assists per game, averaging 3.9 a game. Christ Koumadje leads the team with the highest field goal percentage, the center shoots at 61.3% and averages 6.6 points a game.

 

Defensively, Terance Mann leads the Seminoles in rebounds per game, Mann averages 6.6 rebounds a game. Trent Forrest averages 2.0 steals per game and Christ Koumadje averages 1.6 blocks per game.

 

The Tigers will have two home games this week starting with a 9:00 tipoff with Florida State and a noon tipoff Saturday with Boston College.
