Clemson Starting Defensive Tackle Davis to Return to Lineup for Virginia Game

By: Zachary Wagner

Clemson Defensive Coordinator Brent Venables announced today that sophomore defensive tackle Tyler Davis would be returning from injury after missing the game against The Citadel two weeks ago. Davis missed the game with an MCL strain he suffered in the Tigers opening week game against Wake Forest.

“We’ll see what Tyler can do this week, he has missed a couple weeks you know. We will know more by the end of the week what the rotation is going to look like. If all things are good and even, we got a good rotation this weekend.” Venables told the media during his weekly press conference on Monday morning.

Davis, along with KJ Henry and Jordan Williams are the veterans along the defensive line. Throw in Bryan Bresee and Myles Murphy who have looked stellar in their first two collegiate games, and eventually the Tigers defense will get Xaiver Thomas back, and you may be looking at the best defensive line group in the country.
