Clemson Ranked Third in Initial College Football Playoff Rankings
By Zach Wagner
The first College Football Playoff rankings came out tonight, and the Clemson Tigers saw themselves ranked third, behind only Alabama and ACC foe Notre Dame. Clemson (7-1) has not played since November 7th, a double-overtime loss to #2 Notre Dame. Ohio State rounds out the top four with a 4-0 record.
After a postponement this past weekend against Florida State, many fans were speculating just where the Tigers would end up. After finding out about the #3 ranking, a lot of fans were surprised the CFP committee put Clemson above the Buckeyes.
Clemson will get back on the field for the first time in over three weeks on Saturday when they host the Pitt Panthers. Kick is set for 3:30 pm on ABC.
