Clemson Men’s Golf Releases 2021-22 Schedule

CLEMSON, S.C. (August 6, 2021) — Head Coach Jordan Byrd released the Clemson men’s golf schedule on Friday.

The Tigers are getting ready to return to the links after claiming their 11th ACC Championship in 2021 and for their first season with Byrd at the helm of the program.

Clemson will open the season at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate, played at Mirabel Golf Course in Scottsdale, Ariz. It is the furthest the Tigers have traveled to open a season since 2007-08 when they opened at the Topy Cup in Japan. Clemson had opened the last 13 years at the Carpet Classic in Dalton, Ga.

The Tigers will play on several distinguished courses this season. When they travel to the Scenic City Intercollegiate, it will be played at Honors Course in Chattanooga, Tenn. It has been the host of the 1991 U.S. Amateur and the NCAA Men’s Championship in 1996 and 2010. It’s ranked the No. 28 course in the nation for 2021-22 by Golf Digest.

The Colonial Collegiate will be played at Colonial Country Club, annually the host course for the Charles Schwab Challenge on the PGA Tour since 1946.

In February, the Tigers will play at the Albany Collegiate, which will be played at Albany Golf Course in the Bahamas. It is the same course that plays host to the Tiger Woods Hero Challenge.

Clemson will play at the distinguished Pinehurst #2 course at the Pinehurst Invitational. The course has been the host of the U.S. Open three times, the U.S. Amateur three times and a Ryder Cup.

The Tigers will also hit the links of a Top 100 course (according to Golf Digest) in the country when they play the Calusa Cup at Calusa Pines in Naples, Fla.
