Clemson, S.C. – Clemson gymnastics’ Molly Arnold and Lilly Lippeatt have each picked up ACC Weekly Awards following the final week of the regular season, it was announced today by the league office. Arnold was tabbed as Specialist of the Week for the first time in her career and the Tigers’ sixth winner of the season, while Lippeatt earned her third Newcomer of the Week honor, the Tigers’ fifth of the season.
Arnold was nearly perfect on vault against No. 11 UCLA on Saturday, tallying a career-best 9.975 after sticking her Yurchenko 1.5, earning a 10.0 from one judge, helping Clemson to their best team vault score of the season. The Bloomington, Minn., native also competed on floor for the Tigers, earning a 9.875.
Lippeatt competed in three events for the Tigers on Saturday, including bars, beam, and floor. She earned 9.875s on both bars and beam, and a 9.900 on floor.
Clemson is back in action on Saturday, traveling to Greensboro, N.C., for the 2024 ACC Championships. The Tigers enter the meet as the No. 2 seed and will begin on bars. The event is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be shown live on the ACC Network.
