ALL IN: Tiger Get Commit from Local QB

The Clemson Tiger quarterback room is getting crowded these days. The Tigers went into the month of December with three quarterbacks on the roster after losing Taisun Phommachanh to the transfer portal. Since then Clemson has added former 5-star and former Clemson QB Hunter Johnson, current 5-star Cade Klubnik and walk-on Caleb Nix out of Alabama. Wait.

Today, the son of Coach Danny Pearman committed to the Tigers as well. Trent Pearman, 6-2 180, has led nearby Daniel High School to 24 straight wins and two state championships. He is currently not rated by any of the recruiting sites. The South Carolina high school Player of the Year reportedly had one offer to UAB.

In two years, Pearman played in 24 games, completed 455-589 passes (77.2%), for 6,555 yards, 80 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, with 45 TDs coming in 2021.

“Thank you to Coach Swinney and Coach Streeter for this awesome opportunity!
A dream come true! Thank you to everyone who has helped me develop as a person and an athlete!” — Trent Perriman’s twitter post this morning.
