Big Time OL Commits to Clemson
It’s rare when the Clemson Tigers can get the blue chips on the offensive line. Today, Coach Thomas Austin made his presence known. 4-star lineman, Harris Sewell, gave his commitment to the Tigers after releasing his Top 5 back in mid April. That list included Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas, and Texas A&M.
Sewell, 6-4 300, is ranked as the #1 OL in the state of Texas and the #2 overall interior offensive lineman in the 2023 class. This pickup for the Tigers is big.
He joins OL Ian Reed in this class, and with the possibility of another big offensive lineman commitment next month, the Tigers are in great shape on the offensive line for 2023. Sources say the Tigers want to bring in four linemen in this class. More to come.
Sewell becomes the 15th commitment for the Tigers, and the 12th prospect to throw in with Clemson in the month of June.
CSN Reached out to Tom Luginbill from ESPN to got his thoughts on Sewell…“Physical, aggressive, touch, athletic offensive guard with good overall size at this stage. Good lower body flexibility with good initial quickness, COD skills and balance. Runs well. Plays with good pad level, good to very good play strength, and displays explosiveness. Finisher. Good pass set, punch and foot quickness to cover. “ – Tom Luginbill, National Recruiting Director, CFB Analyst, ESPN/ABC, Sirius XM Host.
