T&F: Chepngetich Named National Athlete of the Week

CLEMSON, S.C. – Following her performance at the Clemson Invitational, sophomore Gladys Chepngetich was named the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division I Women’s Athlete of the Week as announced by the organization on Monday.

This past Saturday, Chepngetich impressed at the Clemson Invitational as the Tiger set the new program and facility record in the women’s 1000 meters with a time of 2:39.99.

Chepngetich and the rest of the Tigers will compete next at the Orange and Purple Invitational at the Clemson Indoor Track and Field Complex starting on January 24 and concluding on January 25.
