CLEMSON RECRUITING: Class of 2020 Early Signing Day Approaches

5 STAR COMMIT DL BRYAN BRESEE

Have We Forgotten December 19th?

All the talk in the news right now is about the college football playoffs, as it should be. However, there is something that is always front and center with me. Early National Signing Day is about 2 weeks away. Clemson will play Virginia in the ACC Championship game on December 7th. 12 days later, at 7:00am in the morning, the door is open for LOI’s to start coming in. Recruiting is where everything begins and ends. There are three “main” sites that rank college teams and players; 247 sports, Rivals and ESPN. Currently, 247 has Clemson #1, Rivals has them #2 and ESPN #4. Each site must have their own set of standards or processes how they rank players. Case in point, 247 has quarterback DJ Uiagalelei ranked #14 as their overall player. Rivals lists Uiagalelei as the #1 player in the nation. On the other hand, ESPN ranks him as the 48th player in the nation. There is no rhyme or reason, but one thing remains clear; Clemson will have a great 2020 recruiting class.

5 Star LB Justin Flowe out of California on his Clemson Official @ Wake Forest Game

Clemson is waiting on 5-star LB Justin Flowe and 5-star DE Jordan Burch to announce their college choices. We will all know by December 19th for sure. Regardless of these two players, Dabo and staff will have successfully “reloaded” the roster. This is not to say that Clemson won’t add a couple two or three at the 2nd Signing Day in February. This staff is known to come up with jewels at the last minute. Two golden finds late that come to mind are Isaiah Simmons and Travis Etienne. College football conference championships and playoffs with-standing, National Signing Day is exciting in it’s own right, especially when Clemson is pulling in probably the best class in Clemson history.
